Sometimes it feels like we're walking through movie scenes... the old, stone building, the horse-drawn carriage in front, the street lamps, and what's new in the frame, today's people, wandering tourists. The photographer's ears must be open as well as his eyes. When I heard the sound of horses' hooves and the noise of the wheels hitting the cobblestones, I realized that a carriage was coming from afar. And here I am capturing this shot in Mallorca, the largest of the Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. The film points to a longing in which the past time is mythologized in order to escape from the pain of the present, and a carriage carriage was a must in Paris in the middle of the night. I always think that people who are longing are beautiful people, and those who are longing live new days to be missed. The phaeton, which is said to have first appeared around Egypt and has a nostalgic atmosphere, takes people on a peaceful journey into the past. However, phaetons were brought as palace and mansion cars, and from the vehicles used by royals, they have now turned into a travel vehicle that tourists reward themselves with. While the carriage driver looks at the money he earns and the tourists look at the view they see, horses continue to serve humanity. I think the reason why our bond with horses has been different throughout history is that they accompany us in the most beautiful and challenging places.
