This is one of the most visible places in Istanbul. A panoramic view between the old and the new as the current of the Bosphorus often drags the boats on their own path. Perili Köşk is the work of an architect who said that a building should be like a person who feels special from others. Bricks brought from the United Kingdom were used in the construction of this building, which has managed to make itself special and different from the other buildings around it. Perili Köşk or Yusuf Ziya Pasha Mansion is a historical building located in the Rumelihisarı district of Sarıyer district of Istanbul. The 9-storey building has a floor area of approximately 5000 m². Due to the long and unfinished construction of the mansion, the building was named "Haunted Mansion". This mansion, which hosts contemporary art exhibitions today, will definitely attract your attention if you are on a boat in the Bosphorus. Of course, in the back of the mansions, Rumeli Fortress stands out, also known as Boğazkesen Fortress. I think that the soldiers who were monitoring the surveillance areas in these castles were aware of what they were protecting. The three large towers of the fortress, which was completed in a short time of ninety days, in the narrowest part of the Bosphorus, in order to prevent attacks that could come from the Black Sea before the Conquest of Istanbul by Mehmet the Conqueror, were placed right opposite the Anatolian Fortress on the Anatolian Side. They are standing. This area, which originally had simple viewing terraces and a stage, was later turned into an amphitheater upon the request of theater artist Muhsin Ertuğrul.
