It's early morning on the last day of 2023. The weather is freezing, we are in the Uçhisar region, we woke up to see the balloons in the air. Of course, I also have my camera with me, which should wake up with me. And that day I had black and white film installed in my camera. Cappadocia's balloons were flying in the morning hours, following sunrise, as it allowed for a soft landing and maximum ascent capacity. Because I have experienced this feeling before, I always think about the excitement of people who will take to the sky with a balloon for the first time. It is difficult for those who are experiencing that state of fear to notice you, especially for those who are experiencing that state of fear, to see me in the landscape they look at. Cappadocia's balloons are literally the stars of the sky at that moment. Even though these balloons floating in the wind have their own rhythm, some of them have completed their tour below, while others seem to be just taking to the sky. When I looked back after a nice walk, I saw these trees that I didn't notice as I was looking at the balloons. I thought black and white film would add a very dramatic atmosphere to the moment. The interesting thing is that; I was astonished when, after taking the shot, I got closer to the trees and saw that those obvious ones were not bird nests. It was as if the tree was decorated for this shot.
